With his family he moved to Saskatchewan  and then moved back to North Dakota, U.S.A. As of 1953 they lived at Woodburn, Oregon, U.S.A.

161.  VIVIAN7 ALCOCK (JOSEPH6, LYDIA5 SHILLINGTON, ELIZA4 KERFOOT, WILLIAM3, GEORGE2, THOMAS1)  She married J. PERRY. 

Notes for VIVIAN ALCOCK:
She attended Ontario Ladies College when Dr. J. J. Hare was at the head of the college. He was a cousin of Lydia ALCOCKS through a Shillington connection which also linked them with the Kerfoots. The connection was through Ann Nancy Shillington (no 5, Shillington family tree), a sister of John and James Shillington who married Thomas BROWNLEE; her sister married Robert Hare, from whom J.J.Hare was evidently descended.  Mary Brownlee, a daughter of Thomas Brownlee, married William Kerfoot. Hence the Kerfoot descendants are related to the Hares.

Notes for J. PERRY:
He was a banker. As of 1953 he was an Inspector with the Bank of Commerce (now Canadian Imperial Bank of COmmerce). At that date they were living on a small farm at R.R. 1,  Meadowvale, Ontario, Canada.

MACDONALD 12 April 1919 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.  She was born 4 September 1896 in Ferona, Pictou County, Nova Scotia, Canada.

GIBSON 16 October 1937 in Melgund, Manitoba, Canada.  He was born 22 March 1913 in Underhill, Manitoba, Canada.

As of 1953 Irene and her husband, Richard were living on the family farm that had once belonged to her father, Arthur Shillington.

167.  LLOYD SHILLINGTON7 MUTER (HARRIET SARAH6 SHILLINGTON, JOHN "LITTLE"5, ELIZA4 KERFOOT, WILLIAM3, GEORGE2, THOMAS1) was born 21 July 1918 in Hawarden, Saskatchewan, Canada, and died 11 November 1944 in Holland.  He married RUTH LILIAN MOFFAT April 1941 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.  She was born 2 December 1919 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

He served overseas and was killed in  Holland.

168.  VELMA7 MCFARLANE (JOHN H.6, ELIZA5 SHILLINGTON, ELIZA4 KERFOOT, WILLIAM3, GEORGE2, THOMAS1) was born 3 November 1904 in Elmore, Saskatchewan, Canada.  She married (1) ROBERT CLIFFORD SHILLINGTON, son of JOHN SHILLINGTON and HANNAH GARVIN.  He was born 30 May 1896 in Manitoba, Canada.

Notes for VELMA MCFARLANE:
The couple farmed for a time near Gainsboro, Sastatchewan, Canada. Then they purchased a farm near Carnduff, Saskatchewan, Canada which they were still operating in 1953. Both Richard Clifford Shillington and Velma McFarlane appear elsewhere  in this genealogy as descendants of Ann Kerfoot. Velma was an excellent pianist and vocalist who contributed much to the musical life of the committees in which she lived.

Notes for ROBERT CLIFFORD SHILLINGTON:
He went by the name of Clifford. With his parents he moved from Manitoba to the Elmore District in 1902. From there he farmed with his parents until their retirement to Winnipeg in 1926.  Clifford and Velma  continued to farm there until 1943 when they sold the farm. After two years they bought land at Carnduff in 1946. As of 1953 they lived in the town of Carnduff and farmed the land.  Together with his brothers Harold and Vernie who also live in Carnduff, they are musical and passed on their love of music and talent to their children.

Notes for MARGARET MAXINE FULLER:
She went by the name of Maxine. The couple farmed near Washington D.C. until 1948, when, after the death of Maxine's mother, they moved to Cottage Grove, Oregon, U.S.A. to live with her father. As of 1953 their address was Box 304, Cottage Grove, Oregon.

  JOHN TOZELAND7 SHILLINGTON (ADAM TOZELAND6, SAMUEL KERFOOT5, ELIZA4 KERFOOT, WILLIAM3, GEORGE2, THOMAS1) was born 18 July 1900 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.  He married KATHLEEN J. THOMPSON 23 December 1927.  She was born in Whitemouth, Manitoba, Canada.

Notes for JOHN TOZELAND SHILLINGTON:
He was educated at the Ottawa Collegiate Institute, McGill University and Osgood Hall (Law College), Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He graduated from Osgood Hall in 1926. He practised law at Sioux Lookout, Ontario, Canada from the time of his graduation in 1926 to joining the army in 1940.  There he served for nearly six years achieving the rank of Major.  His last service in the Army was as D.A.A. and Q.M.G. of the Canadian Forestry Corp in Scotland. After his discharge he practised law in Brantford, Onto, Canada with his office at 6A Market Street in that city. In 1947 he was awarded a K.C. He was active in civic affairs in Brantford and served as an alderman for two years. In 1949 he was a Conservative candidate in the Federal Election.

As of 1953 he was a Sergeant in the 48th Highlander Company of the First Canadian Highland Battalion of the 27th Brigade which was then serving in Europe.

175.  JAMES GEORGE KERFOOT7 SHILLINGTON (ADAM TOZELAND6, SAMUEL KERFOOT5, ELIZA4 KERFOOT, WILLIAM3, GEORGE2, THOMAS1) was born 1 December 1905 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.  He married MARIE ADELE SAINT DENIS 25 March 1937 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.  She was born 17 October 1908 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

Notes for JAMES GEORGE KERFOOT SHILLINGTON:
He was a veteran of the Second World War. He had served in North Africa, Italy and France. He obtained his discharge in May 1946, a week before his father's death. As of 1953 he was employed by the Department of National , GDefenseovernment of Canada at Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. At that time they were living at 91 Caron St., Wrightville, Quebec, Canada.

He graduated from Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada. He served in the first World War. As of 1953 he was Vice President and Secretary of the Manufacturers  Association. At that time they were living at 990 St Leonard's Avenue, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

177.  ANNA CATHERINE7 ROSE (JENNIE ADINA6 SHILLINGTON, SAMUEL KERFOOT5, ELIZA4 KERFOOT, WILLIAM3, GEORGE2, THOMAS1) was born 18 August 1902 in Prescott, Ontario, Canada.  She married WILLIAM FRASER FINDLAY October 1929. 

Notes for ANNA CATHERINE ROSE:
She graduated from High School at Carleton Place, Ontario, Canada and took one year at Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada. She then entered the Toronto General  Hospital from which she graduated as an R.N. in 1926.

179.  S.L. MARY JEMIMA7 KERFOOT (GEORGE6, WILLIAM5, GEORGE4, WILLIAM3, GEORGE2, THOMAS1) was born 15 July 1872 in Minesing, Ontario, Canada.  She married WILLIAM WINDSOR 11 July 1900 in her father's home, in the Aberdeen District..  He was born 15 April 1872 in Chatham, Ontario, Canada.

Notes for S.L. MARY JEMIMA KERFOOT:
She was nicknamed Mina. She was the oldest of four children who went west with their parents in 1882 and  farmed in the Snowflake District of Manitoba, Canada. After her marriage she and  her husband lived on his farm in the Rosebud District in Manitoba, near Crystal City. Their six children were born there. In 1930 they retired to Pilot Mound where her husband repaired watches.  She suffered from a serious case of arthritis in her advanced years.
